Reopening of Il Sereno in Torno – The No. 1 Italian Hotel according to Condè Nast Reader’s Choice 2022

The award-winning 5-star luxury hotel “Il Sereno Lago di Como”, designed by Patricia Urquiola, reopens for the 2023 summer season with a lot of novelties combining Lake Como, nature and a luxury lifestyle.

The hotel, part of the Sereno Hotels Group owned by Luis Contreras, is ready to amaze its guests again this year by offering exclusive experiences. The materials of the building are mainly natural materials such as wood, stone, wool and fabrics of vegetable origin with the clear aim of blending delicately and at the same time with great visual impact into the surroundings.

Thus the novelties of the 2023 season are aimed at immersing the guests in the environment and atmosphere of Lake Como. The first and very fascinating new feature is the large Darsena Lago Suite: built right on the site of an ancient boathouse, this almost 200 sqm suite is the only one on Lake Como with private and direct access to the water. The large terrace, the garden and the glass windows surrounding the Darsena Lago Suite are situated along the waterline and designed to reflect the colors of the lake and ensure an experience of total fusion with the environment

Other novelties of Il Sereno Lago di Como include “wild swimming” where the guest will have swimming lessons and discover the best areas for swimming together with an open-water instructor, as well as the collaboration with the legendary Bürgenstock Resort in Switzerland and the possibility of combining wellness and great food thanks to the “Dom Pérignon Experience”.
