The request for more sustainability and attention to the environment is present in all areas, including the world of vintage boats. For some time the shipowners who are most concerned about these issues have been waiting for a solution combining vintage boats with the needs of today’s world, and now finally there is an answer: the legendary Riva vintage motorboats – a symbol of navigation on Lake Como – can be electrified!
2022 was particularly important and eventful for the Riva shipyards; from the 100th anniversary of the birth of Carlo Riva – a historical figure of the company – to the 180th anniversary of Riva shipyard, up to the 60th anniversary of the birth of the most famous, most elegant and most loved motorboat: the Aquarama. These anniversaries have led the brand to reflect on its history, meet new requirements, keep up with the times accomodate lovers of the Riva brand.
Today, thanks to the collaboration between Bellini Nautica SpA (a company based in Clusante, on the shores of Lake Iseo, and leader in the sale and restoration of Riva motorboats, including vintage boats) and Lanéva (a company based in Monaco, specialized in the production and sale of 100% electric luxury boats), have designed, built, tested and launched the first Full Electric retrofit kit for vintage Riva motorboats. This solution combines certified industrial technologies and components in a module capable of providing 400 volts and equipped with a tracking and telemetry system very similar to that used in Formula 1. Any owner can choose from Bellini Nautica SpA a single or double engine from 150Kw to 500Kw and turn his vintage Riva b0at into a modern, elegant and sustainable luxury motorboat!
