Villa Balbiano, sumptuous mansion from 16th century at Ossuccio on Lake Como, is one of the locations chosen for the new film directed by Ridley Scott.
Lady Gaga is at Villa Balbiano at Lake Como to film the new Ridley Scott movie about the Gucci ‘Black Widow’ Patrizia Reggiani who was convicted of arranging the murder of her ex-husband Maurizio Gucci in 1995. Set for release in November, the film is based on the novel The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed by Sara Gay Forden.
The 11-time Grammy-winning singer, who achieved global fame with hits such as Poker Face and Bad Romance, and co-starred in A Star is Born with Bradley Cooper, plays Gucci’s ex-wife, Patrizia Reggiani. The singer-actress and co-star Adam Driver are part of a stellar cast in Scott’s movie, including Al Pacino, Jared Leto and Jeremy Irons.
Scott will film the movie in several different locations in Italy including Milan, Florence, Gressoney, Lake Como and Rome. The veteran film director has a strong connection to Italy through his massive hit film Gladiator, starring Russell Crowe, and more recently All the Money in the World about the Getty kidnapping in Rome.
