Villa Gallietta

Villa La Gallietta is one of the seven 18th-century villas built on the western shore of Lake Como. It was first built at the end of 18th-century in a sunny, wind-protected area on Via Borgo Vico, and subsequently modified in 1830, in a more austere, neoclassical style as a residence for the autumn and winter months.
Today, the villa has been updated with modern facilities, which nonetheless do not interfere with its neoclassical style and furnishings. In addition to the villa itself, it is also possible to rent its country-style apartment, located on the same grounds and completely independent.
The villa’s large living room is decorated with a beamed false dome and a series of portraits of famous musicians, while the other rooms are decorated with frescoes of unusual imagery.
This three-story villa is protected by the Institute of the “Fine Arts” for its significant architectural value.
Separate from the villa, a 140 sqm. rustic annex has its own independent entrance and is composed of a living room, kitchen, three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The 12,000 sqm garden faces out on the lake and is surrounded by stone walls of different heights, guaranteeing complete privacy.
